Elliott Wave theory, in sixty seconds

The whole site stands on one old observation: markets don't move in straight lines — they advance in five pushes and retrace in three, and each push leaves a fingerprint you can measure.

12345 wave 5: momentum usually weaker than wave 3 — that's the fingerprint ABC then a three-wave correction (A-B-C), and the next impulse begins the three hard rules: ② never retraces past the start of ① · ③ is never the shortest · ④ never enters ①'s price zone

The rules that make it countable

  • Wave 2 can't retrace beyond the start of wave 1 — if it does, the count is dead.
  • Wave 3 is never the shortest of the three impulse waves (it's usually the longest).
  • Wave 4 can't overlap wave 1's price territory — the deepest a healthy pullback may go.
  • Fractals: every wave contains smaller waves inside it (the chart shows them as small blue labels).

Why the fifth wave is where the money question is

By wave 5 the crowd has caught on — price makes a new extreme, but momentum (the Elliott Oscillator) makes a weaker peak. That divergence is measurable, not mystical. So the fifth wave poses two tradable questions, and this site answers both:

  • Is wave 5 real and healthy? → ride it (the continuation system: fresh wave 4 + fast trigger, target 1.5×ATR).
  • Is wave 5 exhausted or failing? → fade it (System 2: divergence + zero pullback + trigger cross) or catch the failed fifth (System 3: wave 5 can't even beat wave 3 — a double top/bottom with a reason).

You don't have to believe the theory — the systems just encode "new extreme + weaker momentum + trigger fired" and let the statistics argue. That's also why everything here is hourly bars: on daily charts the fifth wave is over before you notice it.
